Dr Olympia Palikara

Dr Olympia Palikara is a Senior Lecturer in Educational Psychology in the School of Education, University of Roehampton. Olympia trained as an educational psychologist in the Institute of Education, University of London, where she also completed her PhD. Her main research interests concern the educational and psychosocial competence of children and adolescents with speech, language and communication needs. More recently, she is also interested in the functional approaches concerning the identification of special educational needs.
Dr Susana Castro is a Senior Lecturer in Education Studies in the School of Education, University of Roehampton. Susana trained as an educational psychologist and has worked with young children with special educational needs and their families, while developing her research on the usefulness of the ICF to support service provision for these children. She has published a number of papers over the last few years about applications of the ICF to facilitate interdisciplinary service provision. She has also been delivering training and consultancy on the ICF in a number of different countries and professional settings.

Dr Susana Castro

Vicky Eirinaki

Vicky  Eirinaki is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Applied Research and Assessment in Child and Adolescent Wellbeing, Roehampton University and her research project focuses on the impact of Language Impairment among adolescents with psychopathology on their therapeutic outcome. She studied Psychology in Athens, Greece and obtained a Master of Science in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. Parallel to her studies, she has worked in various different settings both in London and Greece, such as Lambeth Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS-London), Child and Adolescent Neurodevelopmental Service- Mary Sheridan Centre- London, Child Psychiatric Hospital of Attica and Children’s Developmental Medical Centre of Athens. She is currently working as a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Education, Roehampton University and as an independent researcher.
